SkywalkerAI turns a Skywalker drum roaster into an AI roasting machine. Scan the label, and it reads the bean, researches it, and designs a roast curve for that coffee — then a dongle on the back of the roaster holds the curve all the way to the drop.

01
The camera reads the roaster and the bean off the bag, the AI researches that coffee, and it returns a full plan — charge temperature, phase targets, development, drop. A curve designed for that bean, not a preset pulled from a list.
02
The planned rate-of-rise is the feedforward; bean-temperature error is the correction. The turning point and first crack are measured as they happen, and the plan re-anchors on them — so the roast you get is the roast that was designed.

The roaster's own port powers the dongle. It speaks the roaster's wire protocol, drives the drop door and cooling gates, and runs preheat, charge detection, every phase and the drop itself. If your phone wanders off, the roast doesn't.
The whole controller is a thumb-sized dongle that mates with the USB-A port on the roaster's back — no cable, no wiring, no box of parts. It carries its own color status display, updates over the air from the app, and talks to your phone over WiFi or Bluetooth. Plug it in, and the roaster is a different machine.
“I've built more than a dozen roasters, oven rigs to heatguns, and TempMaster taught a smoker to hold a curve overnight. SkywalkerAI is those two obsessions finally meeting.”
